I want to be your mentor In order to help you achieve your goals as well. If that’s playing in college or making it to the pros I’m here to assist you with that. I’ve gotten so much knowledge playing this sport and would like to share some of what I’ve learned to help elevate your game. When I was a teen I wish I had a sports mentor earlier on to help me navigate the adversity and the triumphs of being an athlete.
As a professional, what separates players at this level is the mental aspect of things. My dedication to improving my mental performance and making it the best it can possibly be is what has gotten me this far in my career. It takes more than just physical capabilities to make it as a pro, let me guide you and together we can maximize your performance in your sport!!

For 8 years, Jack Huml has coached/ trained boys & girls basketball at the youth, high school, and college levels. Ages have ranged all the way from 5 to 22 years old. Jack Huml was privileged to learn how to coach and play the game of basketball from his best friend, late and great father, Tony Huml. Tony, was the founder and previous owner of Close The Gate Hoops. Tony also shared much of his life wisdom on a daily basis with Jack.
This inspired Jack’s additions to CTG with mental training, nutritional training, mental health awareness, and more to come…
“At this rate in CTG’s growth, I am only focused on one thing: Trying to make the kids that go through all of our programs better people. Not only better people but people that want to help other people become better people. It’s a snowball effect, creating a sports world that’s main focus is growth, not an achievement. I am here to set up our students for LIFE success, not just simply their sport. Sports, mental training, nutrition, etc. are all simply vehicles to learn and grow as a person. The biggest thing I have learned over the past 3 years running CTG, is the value and fulfillment of simply being a good person. That’s it. You don’t need achievement, status, popularity, or ANYTHING external to bring you what you are looking for. It all comes from within. Using life itself as a curriculum. That is why I am so passionate about sharing this with the students we train. Not only do I believe in a holistic and integral approach to improving in anything, I believe it is the fastest form of improvement. If you want your child to see improvements in all areas of sport/life, you’ve found the right place.”
Jack’s school, organization, and team speeches can be found on online everywhere. The words spoken by Jack are all the credibility he needs to run 5 businesses. It’s up to you to find out if CTG’s hype is legit or not!
